        Sharing our Ranch with Visitors

  We are full-time ranchers, but we enjoy educating and entertaining our visitors about the particulars of ranch life in general and the unique ecosystem of the Flint Hills in particular.  So many of our visitors are removed from agriculture by several generations, yet are hungry for more knowledge of the land and the people who care for it.   The Western and Cowboy way of life fascinates many people but they seldom get a chance to talk with real ranchers or experience what happens on a ranch.  We encourage any questions and hope that your visit with us will leave you with a taste of how much we love and care for our lifestyle, the land, and the critters that we work with.

Who We Are

Kent and Rose were born and raised in NE Iowa on livestock and crop farms.  After years of trips were made to the Flint Hills to purchase cattle for our Iowa cattle operations, we had fallen in love with the spacious prairie, lush grass and endless vistas of the Flint Hills.  We purchased our ranch in 1991 near Council Grove, Kansas.  It was our best ever decision to become part of the ranching culture in this unique part of the world.  Our Ranch Tours allow us to share this wonderful lifestyle and area with our visitors.
