Flint Hills Ranch Experiences

  Come visit the Flint Hills!  Tour a working ranch and talk with Ranchers Kent and Rose Bacon, who operate the RK Cattle Company.   Our ranch is located near Historic Council Grove, Kansas in the Heart of the Flint Hills.  We offer a close-up look at a grazing and backgrounding operation that provides some of the cattle that graze the lush native bluestem pastures that the Flint Hills are famous for.  

Flint Hills Ranch Tours

  We are a full-time ranching couple who specialize in starting and grazing calves on Flint Hills pastures.  Our tours include the history of the Flint Hills, its grazing legacy, modern ranching practices, and information on the working horses and dogs used in our ranching operation.

  One of the real crowd pleasers is a live cattle handling demonstration using the horses and putting the cattle through our working facilities.  Our visitors really enjoy getting a close-up view of the cattle and horses. 

  We close the tours with ample time for questions and some fo the Cowboy and Prairie poetry inspired by life on the ranch.  

  The goal of our Ranch Tours is to share a bit of the ranch way of life, and to educate as well as entertain our visitors.
